Abstract
Book synopsis: The Literary Yearbook was founded in 1926 by Günther Müller. It was intended to provide a regular overview of new research projects and results in this publication. In addition, the yearbook also contained primary literature. In 1939, the National Socialists banned the periodical. In 1960, under the aegis of the Germanist Hermann Kunisch a new episode was founded, which has now grown to now 47 volumes. The interdisciplinary journal publishes articles on German, English / American and Romance Studies in German and in the languages belonging to the subjects. It also contains an extensive discussion section. The Literary Yearbook is set to no method. The editors strive to include contributions from young scientists as well. Another special feature is the publication of previously unpublished literary texts.
